Over 30 years experience of planning at the quality end of the industry
Inspired Event Management is owned by Jenny Loyd. I have worked at the quality end of the Hospitality Industry creating incredible parties, weddings and events of a hugely varied nature, for over 30 years. I love it!
Many years ago, after school, I studied towards a degree in Hotel & Catering, and subsequently worked as part of the Catering Team at Buckingham Palace, managing the menu planning and food buying aspect of the department. I travelled to all the UK Royal Residences such as Windsor Castle, Holyrood House, Balmoral Castle and also, in those days, on H.M.Y. Britannia – a truly incredible experience which not only involved organising the provision of food for the chefs, managing the seating plans for dinner every evening, but also playing the French Horn when we refuelled at sea!!
This was followed by a stint working for two of London’s most renowned Outside Caterers; Mustard Catering and Lorna Wing Ltd. Both were pioneers of exquisite tablescapes and unique state-of-the-art bite-sized canapes and I am still in touch with fellow colleagues, and Lorna herself even now!
All these experiences helped me develop an appreciation of working at the quality end of the hospitality industry – and giving one’s all to making sure each and every occasion delivers at the highest level.

A & L after their daughter’s wedding
I moved to Suffolk in 1998 and soon after set up Inspired Event Management, offering discerning clients guidance, advice, inspiration and meticulous planning skills thereby creating luxury parties, weddings and events with the WOW factor using reliable local and nationwide suppliers. We mainly work in East Anglia, but will travel further afield if there is an event to be organised!
Guests have been known to say ‘we knew from the moment we arrived that it was going to be a great evening as Inspired Event Management were there’!
I would be delighted to hear from you to discuss how we can help you plan your forthcoming momentous occasion and make it a seamless, stress free experience and above all, memorable for all the right reasons!
When I am not working I enjoy playing tennis, kayaking on local Suffolk rivers, skiing in the winter and travelling, whether it’s for an inspirational City break or to find a beach on which to relax after a hectic summer season! I love cooking, gardening and being creative including sewing. I have often run up bespoke tablecloths for my clients, and always carry a needle and thread at my events which is often useful for last minute alterations or emergencies!!!
I have a loyal team of freelance colleagues who understand the requirements of my clients to produce events at the highest level, and together we look forward to helping you with your celebration.
How we work
We charge a fee (fixed or hourly) for our professional full event planning services, and we do not take commission from any suppliers.
Throughout the planning we are working on your behalf to get the best arrangements in place from both a practical and financial viewpoint. If we are offered any discounts through being in the trade, or having built up a good relationship with suppliers over the years, we pass these onto you, our valued clients.
We would be delighted to discuss your special occasion.
